Earthwatch Institute
Earthwatch is a global nonprofit that sends volunteers all over the world to help on scientific field research projects. We support over 100 projects, from Climate Change at the Arctic's Edge to Madagascar's Lemurs, all working to answer today's important environmental questions on climate change, biodiversity and sustainability.

Educator Fellowships

As part of our effort to educate people about the environment, Earthwatch awards fellowships to K-12 educators from all over the US. These grants allow teachers and other school staff to take part in 3 - 20 day research expeditions and bring the experience back to their schools.

Applications should be submitted by February 15th.  For more information and applications, visit our fellowship webpages.

Live From the Field Program

The Live From the Field Program gives educators the opportunity to join an expedition during the school year, and communicate with students right from the project site, by satellite phone or internet blogs and webinars. These grants are only available in certain areas, and have differing application deadlines; for more information, visit our Live From the Field webpages.
