GEEO is trying to make travel as affordable as possible for educators. We negotiate with over 30 tour operators and they bid against each other to win our business. We then pass on these rates directly to educators, giving you the best value you could possibly find. We hope these trips are affordable out of pocket, but if they don't fit into your budget, we recommend that educators that wish to travel with us seek grants.  Roughly 20% of the teachers who have traveled with us had their trips fully or partially paid for through grants.

The first thing we recommend you do is speak to your school's principal and/or professional development coordinator.  They may know of grants that your school district or state offers.  

We also recommend applying for a Fund for Teachers grant,  www.fundforteachers.org. These grants can be used on GEEO trips. Please note that they are only offered to teachers in a limited number of pre-selected school districts around the country. 

In general, most grants don't announce recipients until April or later.  Our trips fill up on a first come, first serve basis.  Unfortunately we cannot hold a place for anyone that does not put a deposit down and these deposits are non-refundable unless we cancel the trip due to not having enough people.
