The Toyota International Teacher Program was commissioned by Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. in 1998 to strengthen its on-going commitment to education and environmental issues. Toyota, in cooperation with IIE, currently operates two study-programs for full-time teachers in grades 7 -12: 

1) Galapagos : a fully funded 10-day study program to the Galápagos to encourage the formation of internationally and environmentally orientated school curricula.

2) Costa Rica : a fully funded 10-day study program in Costa Rica to provide educators with the opportunity to learn about and interact with Costa Rican communities and their efforts to preserve their environment and culture in a rapidly modernizing global society.
