Korean Studies Workshop for American Educators
The Korean Studies Workshop for American Educators will provide U.S. educators with fully-funded study visits to Korea. In 2009, the Korean Studies Workshop will send up to 60 secondary school educators from the United States to Korea for a 12-day workshop. Sponsored entirely by The Korea Foundation, the workshop is designed to enhance mutual understanding between the people of Korea and the United States by inviting certain U.S. educators to visit Korea and then share their experiences with fellow Americans upon their return. The workshop will include lectures, tours to cultural and industrial sites, and meetings with Korean educators and students. Lectures covering the politics, economy, history, culture, and society of Korea will be delivered in English by university professors or other experts. Up to 60 participants will be divided into two groups, which will take place from June 24 to July 8, 2009 and from July 8 to July 22, 2009. The 2009 online application is now available on our website at www.iie.org/ksw. Contact: Institute of International Education. Tel 800-270-4317 (toll free); Fax 202-326-7672; Email ksw@iie.org |
